This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second Respondent to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Cr.No.153 of 2022, dated 11.05.2022 on the file of the second Respondent within a stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the Respondents. 3.When the case is taken for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the Respondents submitted that the case was already transferred to the District Crime Branch, Tuticorin. 4.In the light of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the Respondents, this Petition is disposed of. The first Respondent/Superintendent of Police, Tuticorin, is directed to supervise the investigation in Cr.No.153 of 2022, which was originally on the file of the Inspector of Police, Nazareth Police Station and subsequently withdrawn and handed over to the District Crime Branch, Tuticorin, by nominating an Officer not 2/4

below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police and see to it that the investigation is conducted in all fairness and final report is filed within a specified time before the Court of learned Judicial Magistrate concerned.
