Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the application for mutation of patta in the name of the petitioner based upon the petitioner based upon the fee received for mutation along with registration fee at the time of registration of sale deed in Doc.No.4800/2020 dated 23.07.2020 in accordance with Sections 5 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act 1983 read with Rule 9 of the Patta Passbook Rules, 1987 relating to the land in S.No.366/7C situated at Uppukkottai Village, Bodinaickanur Taluk, Theni within the time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner based on the document registered vide No.4800 of 2020 dated 23.07.2020. 2.When the writ petition has been taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents submits that the petitioner's application has been considered and rejected by order dated 18.07.2023. A copy of the order is also produced to the learned Counsel for the petitioner.

3.Recording the above submission, this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
