Respondents Prayer : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the first respondent to withdraw the case in Crime No.128 of 2018 from the file of the fourth respondent, and entrust the same to the second respondent, consequetly directing the second respondent to appoint a competent police officer, now below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, to investigate the case and file final report before the compettent Court in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.128 of 2018. The petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste community. Her husband was murdered on 08.10.2018. Hence Crime No.128 of 2018 was registered on the file of Chathirapatti Police Station. Eventhough more than three years have elapsed, there does not appear to be any break through. Therefore, the third respondent is directed to change the Investigation Officer and entrust the same in the hands https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No. 20677 of 2021 of a Senior and experienced Deputy Superintendent of Police. Such proceedings will be issued by the third respondent within two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is expected that the new officer in whose hands the investigation is going to be entrusted will conclude the investigation and file the final report as expeditiously as possible. This Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
