The petitioner, seeking permission for installing Vinayagar idol on account of the Vinayagar Sathurthi scheduled on 27.08.2025 at Selva Vinayagar Temple, South Street, Lala Kudiyiruppu, Tenkasi District and to provide police protection for Vinayagar idol procession, has submitted representations dated 08.08.2025 and 11.08.2025 to the respondent Police and also filed this writ petition.

2. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the request of the petitioner has been rejected by the respondent Police.
