This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the third respondent to issue transfer certificate to the daughter of the petitioner by name, Pothumponnu, who was studying in 10th standard in the third respondent School. The petitioner had also given a representation on 08.12.2021 in this regard.
2.In the affidavit, it had been stated that the petitioner has three daughters, Pandimeena, Vellaiammal and Pothumponnu and one son, Muthupandi. She is a single mother taking care of all four children. The third respondent was studying in 10th standard in the third respondent School/Vellanoor Government School, Vellanoor, Pudukottai District. However, she had changed the hostel and to join a new school, the petitioner sought transfer certificate. 3.An additional affidavit had been filed by the petitioner stating that the petitioner had changed the school of the daughter https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.22763 of 2021 to the Government School at Thennalur. Hence, transfer certificate is required.
4.Heard Mr.A.Purantharadhas, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mr.D.Ghandiraj, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. The Headmaster of the third respondent school, Mr.I.Vincent is also present through video conferencing. 5.The Headmaster of the third respondent school, Mr.I.Vincent, stated that he is prepared to grant the transfer certificate. 6.Therefore, a direction is given to the third respondent to grant transfer certificate of the student, Pothumponnu who was studying in 10th standard in the third respondent School/Vellanoor Government School, Vellanoor, Pudukottai District, on or before 10.01.2022. The petitioner may collect the transfer certificate directly from the third respondent school on or before 10.01.2022. 7.With the said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
