ORDER

The writ petition is seeking for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct and complete the enquiry and pass orders, as per Circular No.67 dated 03.11.2011 issued by the Inspector General of Registration, on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 21.10.2016.

2.The relief sought for in this writ petition is to conduct an enquiry based upon the circular No.67, dated 03.11.2011.

3.The said circular has been quashed by the Hon'ble Apex Court. Thereafter, the State of Tamil Nadu by way of an amendment introduced Section 77A in the Registration Act, 1908, empowering the District Registrars to deal with the cases on fraudulent documents. Hence, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the first respondent with appropriate application under Section 77A of the Registration Act, 1908 and on filing of the same, the first respondent is 2/4

directed to dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

4.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
