O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 19.11.2019.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has filed an appeal along with six other villagers before the second respondent, requesting him to cancel the Patta No.282 issued in favour of the sixth respondent under the UDR Scheme, in respect of the property in S.No.255/4 situated at Kanakkankadu Village, Karambakudi Taluk, Pudukottai District. The said appeal is pending before the second respondent from 19.11.2019. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal 2/5

dated 19.11.2019.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that some forged documents have been created and the Government land has been occupied by the sixth respondent and Patta has also been issued. Aggrieved over the same, the village persons and the petitioner have filed an appropriate appeal before the District Revenue Officer, the second respondent herein and the same is pending.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the process is on and accordingly the petitioner's appeal will be considered and disposed of within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In view of the above, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 19.11.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
