ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned provisional assessment order passed by second respondent dated 01.10.2018, quash the same, and consequently direct the second respondent to resume the petitioner's electricity connection No. 095.012.1422 for the petitioner's company situated at No.2B, Kombu Mill, Pattan Kallur, Cheranmahadevi Road, Tirunelveli District.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
3. The petitioner runs a plastic raw material manufacturing company. The second respondent conducted an inspection in the petitioner's company and alleged that the petitioner committed electricity theft. The petitioner was held liable to pay a sum of Rs.13,31,235/- as compensation and Rs. 2,25,000/- towards compounding charges, totaling Rs.15,56,235/-, as reflected in the impugned order. Challenging the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. It appears that the impugned order is only a show cause notice. The petitioner is required to submit objections to the notice and appear in person or through an authorized representative. Although the petitioner sent a representation dated 08.10.2018, he immediately approached this Court without awaiting a response. Therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
