PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the impugned passed by the 2nd respondent vide his proceedings Na.Ka. 2531/2022/A9 dated 18.08.2023 and quash the same as illegal, and consequently direct the respondents to issue patta in petitioner's favour in respect of the properties in Survey No.259/6 measuring to an extent of 0.41.50, Survey No.259/7 measuring to an extent of 0.40.00, Survey No.259/8 measuring to an extent of 0.40.00 Survey No.259/9 measuring to an extent of 0.20.00 and survey No.259/10 measuring to an extent of 0.14.00 situated at Kodikulam Village, Manamelkudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the Judgment and Decree passed dated 31.07.1989 by the Sub Court, Pudukottai in A.S.No.7 and 8 of 1989.

ORDER

Learned Special Government Pleader points out that the petitioner has challenged the communication to the Government Advocate instead of challenging order dated 01.08.2023. He has handed over order dated 01.08.2023. The said order records that the matter pertains to UDR error.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has approached the District Revenue Officer on 28.01.2025 seeking rectification of the UDR error. The District Revenue Officer is the first respondent herein. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent/District Revenue Officer to consider the petitioner's request for rectification of the alleged UDR error and dispose of the same on merits within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after providing a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and all the current pattadhars.
