With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner with a grievance that the appeal filed by of the petitioner has not been taken up for hearing has filed this writ petition for mandamus directing the first respondent to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the District Registrar has passed an order to initiate action under section 83 of the Registration Act. Aggrieved against the said order, the petitioner has preferred the appeal before the Deputy Inspector General (Registration) on 19.09.2022 and the same has not been considered so far. 2/4

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3, on instructions, submitted that notice has been issued for an enquiry and last enquiry was conducted on 09.08.2023.

5. Considering the rival submissions made, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
