PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the Respondents No.1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members from the respondents No.4 to 7 and their henchmen by considering his representation, dated 07.09.2023 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this court.

For Petitioner : Mr.K.Arunraj For R1 to R-3 : Mr.SS.Madhavan, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to provide Police protection from respondent Nos.4 to 7 as they have been giving life threat to the petitioner.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has purchased the house property comprised in Survey No.615/33, measuring to an extent of 0.00.55.0 Square metres, situated at Appananallur Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District, on 12.04.2019, vide Document No.1130 of 2019 from the fourth respondent, however, the fourth respondent and his family members have been shown as Respondent Nos.4 to 7 were threatening the petitioner to reconvey the same to the fourth respondent, for which, the petitioner 2/5

has declined, thereby, the unofficial respondents have given life threat to him. The petitioner has filed a complaint against the unofficial respondents, however, the respondent Police have not taken any action so far, thereby, sought for suitable directions.

Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the respondent Police received the complaint and registered the same as C.S.R.No. 516 of 2023 and enquired both the parties and both the parties have given an undertaking that they would approach the appropriate Civil Court to redress all their grievances in respect of the immovable properties and having recorded the same, the said C.S.R.No.516 of 2023 was closed.

Once the complaint filed by the petitioner has already been closed, no further direction can be given in this case, however, in case, if the petitioner is of the opinion that there is a threat to his life from the unofficial respondents, he is at liberty to file a fresh application, on which, the respondent Police are directed to initiate action immediately against the unofficial respondents. 3/5

5. With the above observation, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
