PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue joint patta by including the petitioner name in respect of the property comprised in New Survey No.86/50, Old Survey No.67/9(P) situated at Keeripatti Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District on the basis of the representation 04.03.2023 and 14.08.2023. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner with a grievance that he is also a legal heir of one Chinnamayan whose name the property stands and submitted an application before the Tahsildar for adding his name in the joint patta has filed this writ petition.

3. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing today, there is no representation for the petitioner.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on a written instructions which she received from the Tahsildar, submitted that based on the application of the petitioner, the Tahsildar has conducted an enquiry and notice were also issued to the parties and necessary orders would be passed within a period of twelve

(12) weeks.
