ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to correct the revenue records pertains to Patta No.970 in respect of the property situated in Survey No.967/8, with an extent of 0.05.5 ares, Perunkudi Village, Thirumayam Taluk, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2025, in the light of proceedings of the second respondent in Tho.Mu.R.D.R. 1206/2002/Aa2, dated 16.02.2002.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Alagusundar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the subject property was originally owned by his father, Narayanasamy and after his death, the petitioner has been in possession and enjoyment of the property by putting up a residential house. The building stands in the subject property is assessed in the name of the petitioner. Since the revenue records for the subject property was issued in the name of one Muthu, the petitioner moved the second respondent seeking rectification of the revenue records. The second respondent, in his proceedings in Tho.Mu.R.D.R.1206/2002/Aa2, dated 16.02.2002 passed necessary orders for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. Even thereafter, the patta has not been issued in the name of the petitioner. Hence, he submitted a representation on 12.08.2025 seeking issuance of patta in his name, in the light of the order passed by the second respondent dated 16.02.2002 and the same not been
considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.
