Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to alter the petitioner's date of birth in the birth certificate as 31.05.1986 instead of 30.05.1986 and also to rectify the name of the father and mother in the birth certificate as Peter Paul Rathinam, Anbu Pushpa Rani respectively and incorporate the petitioner's name in the birth certificate in accordance with Section 15 of the Registration of Birth and Deaths Act and Rule 11 of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Birth and Death Rules, 2000 within the time period stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Mr.N.Dilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent.

This writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to alter the petitioner's date of birth in the birth certificate as 31.05.1986 instead of 30.05.1986 and also to rectify the name of the father and mother in the birth certificate as Peter Paul Rathinam, Anbu Pushpa Rani respectively and incorporate the petitioner's name in the birth certificate in accordance with Section 15 of the Registration of Birth and Deaths Act and Rule 11 of the Tamil Nadu Registration of Birth and Death Rules, 2000.

3. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2025 will be considered and disposed of within a period of four weeks.

4. Since the issue is prima facie covered by the decision of this Court dated 24.07.2019 in W.P(MD)No.8744 of 2019 in the case of V.Veena Vs. The 2/4

secretary to Government, Municipal Administration and others, the respondent shall take note of the decision while disposing of the petitioner's representation, dated 10.08.2025.

Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2025 in the light of the order dated 27.04.2019 in W.P(MD)No.8744 of 2019, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
