2. The petitioners are husband and wife in the respective Writ Petitions. They have filed these Writ Petitions for rival claims. While the petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.14293 of 2025 has prayed for a direction to the second respondent, namely, the Consulate General of India, Al Hamriya, Diplomatic Enclave, P.O.Box 737, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to renew the passport standing in the name of the minor child, Litvikan Sai Nivas, the petitioner in W.P.(MD) No.26711 of 2024 has prayed for a direction to forbear the first and second respondents, namely, the Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi - 110 001, and the Passport Officer, Indian High Commission for UAE, Dubai - UAE, from renewing the passport of the said minor.

3. Today, a memo has been filed before this Court by the learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the first to third respondents in W.P.(MD) No.14293 of 2025, the contents of which are reproduced below:
It is respectfully submits that the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking directions to the 2nd respondent herein to renew the passport of the petitioner's minor child, Lithvikan Sai Nivas bearing passport no. U0701300.
The 2nd respondent vide his communication dated 21.05.2025, has informed that the passport of the minor child was re-issued and a new passport bearing No.I0553888, has been issued on 21.05.2025, valid until 20.05.2027.
The 2nd respondent, while taking the decision, has duly considered the fallowing circumstances, the passport bearing No. U0701300 of minor child Lithvikan Sai Nivaas is expiring soon on 19.06.2025, and keeping in view of the minor child's education, health and social welfare of the minor child and also preventing the risk of making the minor child an illegal immigrant in UAE. Therefore his passport has re-issued.
In light of the above circumstances, the relief sought by the petitioner in the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous.

4. Considering the above, both these Writ Petitions have become infructuous. Therefore, these Writ Petitions are liable to be dismissed and are accordingly dismissed. No costs.
