Petition - filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to grant parole for the period of 15 days to the petitioner's husband namely, Sheik Jinna Mathar, who is convicted in one murder case and languishing in Palayamkottai Central Jail for the period of 22 years by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 23.09.2022. ORDER

[ORDER of the Court was made by N. ANAND VENKATESH, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to grant parole for the period of 15 days to the petitioner's husband namely, Sheik Jinna Mathar, who is convicted in one murder case and languishing in Palayamkottai Central Jail

for the period of 22 years by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 23.09.2022.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, produced the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 07.11.2022, whereby the request made by the petitioner has been rejected.

3. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is closed and it is left open to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings of the first respondent, in the manner known to law. No costs.
