Respondents Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the petitioner's terminal benefits like Provident Fund, Gratuity, Retirement Benefit Scheme Amount (RBS) and other benefits with interest at the rate of 18% per annum payable from the date for retirement till the date of actual payment.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.
2. The writ petitioner joined the respondent Corporation way back in the year 1989. He retired from service on 31.05.2019. However the retirement benefits are yet to be settled.
3. The delay in settling the retirement benefits cannot be appreciated. I therefore, direct the respondent Corporation to settle the retirement benefits to the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Belated settlement will also carry interest @ 6% p.a.
4. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
