Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court S.12.To issue a Writ of Mandamus or direction in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum for the period of delay from 31.7.2019 to 28.1.2021 in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal benefits within a time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble court and pass such further or other orders as this Hon'ble court may deem fit and proper in the nature and circumstances of the case and thus render justice. ORDER
Alleging non-compliance of the orders of this Court in W.P.(MD) No.7241 of 2021, dated 31.03.2021, the petitioner has filed this contempt petition.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Counsel for the respondents submitted that the orders of this Court has been complied with. Learned Counsel for the petitioner though endorsed the said submission, raised certain objection with regard to the calculation of interest for the commutation amount. Therefore, he prayed for a direction to the respondents to furnish the copy of the calculation memo arrived by them. 3.In view of the aforesaid submission, this contempt petition stands closed. However, the respondents Corporation shall furnish a copy of the calculation memo arrived by them to the petitioner and the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same, if so advised.
