PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3rd and 4th respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his temple SHRI KAALI AMMAN AND SHRI BAGAVATHI AMMAN TEMPLE situated at Royappan Gavundar Street, Sembiyanatham Village, Kadavoor Taluk, Karur District, and consequently issue a direction to the 3rd and 4th Respondent to recover the stolen Silver Ornaments of the TEMPLE from the 5th 14th Respondents based on the petitioner's complaint dated 06.09.2023.

AMMAN AND SHRI BAGAVATHI AMMAN at Royappan Gavundar Street, Sembiyanatham Village, Kadavoor Taluk, Karur District. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the respondent police have permitted the unofficial respondent Nos.5 to 14 to conduct the festival in 2023 without obtaining any Court orders and during the course of festival, the unofficial respondent Nos.5 to 14 have allegedly committed theft of silver ornaments from the temple. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has filed a complaint dated 06.09.2023, however, no action has been taken so far and therefore, sought for protection to the temple and for recovery of the silver ornaments.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that in respect of theft of silver ornaments the petitioner's mother has already filed a complaint and summons have already been issued. In respect of that, an enquiry is still under way and that the petitioner has not been cooperating for the enquiry. It is submitted further that there is dispute between the petitioner and the unofficial respondent Nos.5 to 14 in respect of the management of the temple, thereby all these issues are coming.

4.Since the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the complaint of the petitioner dated 06.09.2023 has not been received by the police, the petitioner is directed to approach the police and file a fresh application duly signed by him, on which the respondent police are directed to complete the enquiry on the representations of the petitioner and his mother together as quickly as possible, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
