Heard both sides.

2.The writ petitioner's brother / Ramachandran is said to have passed away on 18.09.1985. The petitioner applied for issuance of death certificate. The petitioner's application is pending before the first respondent.

3.The first respondent is directed to hold enquiry and dispose of the petition mentioned application on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 2/4

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
