PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 and 3 herein to conduct enquiry based to the revenue records before the Updated Registry Scheme (UDR) and Grant Patta in favour of the petitioner to the Agricultural lands in Survey No.318/3 in Keelamangalam Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District. ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to conduct an enquiry and to grant patta in favour of the petitioner for the land in S.No.318/3 situated at Keelamangalam Village, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukudi District.

2.According to the petitioner, with the relief sought for in the prayer, though he made a representation dated 12.10.2019 to the respondents, so far no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.In reply, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that by considering the petitioner's representation, the 4th respondent had rejected the claim of the petitioner to grant patta for the aforesaid property. In this regard, he has produced a copy of the proceedings of the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No.Aa2/3642/2019 dated 28.08.2020. He would further submit that a copy of the aforesaid order dated 28.08.2020 has already been sent to the petitioner. 4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, if the petitioner is being aggrieved by the rejection order dated 28.08.2020, he is at liberty to challenge the same. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
