ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to sub-divide the pathway comprised in S.No.325/2B, situated at Sempoothi Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, based on the proceedings of the District Adi-Dravidar Welfare Officer in Na.Ka/Q3/22628/2011 dated 01.08.2014.
2. Heard the arguments of Mr.A.Xavier Antony Samy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the respondents. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. According to the petitioner, the subject property in S.No.325/2B is a common property in possession of persons belonging to the Scheduled Caste. An extent of 3 cents in the said survey number was assigned in favour of one Arundhathi in Plot No.78. This was opposed by the petitioner and other members of the village, and consequently, the District AdiDravidar Welfare Officer, by proceedings in Na.Ka/Q3/22628/2011 dated 01.08.2014, cancelled the patta. However, the said Arundhathi once again submitted an application seeking issuance of patta in respect of the very same property. The petitioner therefore submitted his objections and further requested the official respondents to earmark the portion by way of a 2/5
representation dated 08.01.2025. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court with the present writ petition.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law by conducting a proper enquiry.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the said Arundhathi referred to in the petitioner's representation.
