PRAYER : Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and give police protection to conduct Vinayagar Chathurthi festival relating to the aforesaid Poojas from 17.09.2023 to 19.09.2023 situated in Parthibanur, Ramanathapuram District on considering the petitioner representation dated 07.09.2023.

K For R1 to R3 : Mr.Thanga Aravindh.B Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for a Mandamus to the respondent police to grant the permission and protection for conducting the Vinayagar Chathurthi festival from 17.09.2023 to 19.09.2023 at Parthibanur, Ramanathapuram District. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that the respondent police have already granted the permission on 13.09.2023 incorporating the route of procession, which was granted earlier. However, the petitioner wanted the procession to be taken through lanes, where the Mosque and Tharkas are existing. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will not press for grant of permission to take the procession through the lanes, where the Mosque and Tharkas are situated and it is suffice if the permission is granted as was granted last year.

4.Since the permission has already been granted to the petitioner as was granted last year, no further directions can be given in this petition, thereby this Petition is disposed of. No costs.
