Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order issued by the respondent dated 05.12.2016 in 19707/Tha.Ku.2/2016 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondent herein to grant parole to the petitioner's husband namely Palanichamy, son of Ponnuchamy, aged 67 years, Life Convict No.2543, now confined at Central Prison, Madurai, for a period of two months on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2016. O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 05.12.2016, refusing to grant parole to the petitioner's husband, by name Palanichamy.
2. Today, when the Writ Petition came up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband Palanichamy has already been released from jail prematurely, pursuant to the Government Order in G.O.(Ms)No.1169, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated 27.08.2018.
3. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, since the petitioner's husband Palanichamy has already been released from jail prematurely, nothing survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition. Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
