O R D E R
The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the Petitioner, dated 21.7.2025 under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act. 2.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both parties,the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to th Petitioner, one Thirumalaisamy filed an application before the third respondent on 31.1.2024 seeking mutation of revenue records pertains to properties in S.Nos. 806/3, 806/4 and 806/5 in Arinayakipuram, Kadayanallur Taluk, Tenkasi District. The said application was allowed by the third respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the Petitioner filed an appeal before the second respondent on 21.07.2025 an the same has not been considered till date. Hence the Petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra. 4.Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader 2/5
who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the appeal filed by the Petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the Petitioner, dated 21.7.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner , above mentioned Thirumalaisamy and other interested parties, if any, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of a copy of this order.
6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
