This contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience of the order, dated 19.04.2022, made in W.P.(MD) No.2096 of 2020.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent made a submission that the gratuity amount due to the petitioner has already been settled in November, 2022. The balance amount is yet to be settled and there is a delay on account of financial crisis in Madurai Kamaraj University. However, the petitioner is receiving the monthly pension, without any delay. Further, he undertakes that the balance amount due to the petitioner will be settled, within a period of four months from today.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned counsel for the respondent, this contempt petition is closed. However, in the event of any failure on the part of the respondent in settling the balance amount, the petitioner is at liberty to reopen this contempt petition by filing appropriate application.
