ORDER
This Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and 5, the learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent and the learned counsel for the Senthankudi Jameen.
2. The petitioner, who is a devotee of the A/m. Balasubramaniya Swamy 2/6
Temple of Nagaram, situate at Nagaram Village, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukkottai District, is before this Court for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to pass appropriate order to maintain the records and publish the invitation and other relating to the temple affairs in the name of subject Temple as per the existing records by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.08.2025.

It is submitted that the subject temple is 16th century temple located in Nagaram Village in Alangur Taluk of Pudukottai district and that at the behest of the villagers from Senthankulam, during the course of Peace Committee Meeting held on 08.07.2025 before the fifth respondent, it has been decided that the fourth respondent shall print the name of the temple as A/m. Balasubramaniya Swamy Temple of Senthankulam, Nagaram.
4. It is submitted that the Peace Committee Meeting is not binding, as the records have been maintained strictly in accordance with the location of the temple as per revenue records and the records maintained by the fourth respondent.

5. The learned Standing Counsel for the fourth respondent also confirms the same that as per temple records, the temple is located in Nagaram, Alangudi Taluk at Pudukottai District.

The learned counsel for the Senthankulam Jameen, Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District, on the other hand, submits that the hereditary trustees of the temple are from Senthankulam Jameen and therefore, name of the village is to be printed in all the invitation of the temple festival as was decided in the Peace Committee Meeting that was held on 08.07.2025. To this effect, the villagers of the Senthankulam village has also sent a representation.

The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 and 5 submits that the representation of the villagers from Senthankulam village in Alangudi Taluk, Pudukottai District will be considered and disposed of on merits together with the petitioner's representation representing the interest of the villagers from the Nagaram Village within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after hearing the parties. 4/6
8. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of in terms of the submissions made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3. No costs.
