This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 19.01.2015 in Na.Ka.No.74027/2/2014 and the consequential impugned appointment order issued by the second respondent in Na.Ka.No.48751/2/ 2012 dated 30.09.2013 and consequently direct the fourth respondent to prepare a fresh seniority list for the post of Livestock Inspector Grade-II based on the employment seniority maintained by him.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner and private respondents 5 to 9 were considered for the post of Livestock Inspector training as per G.O.Ms.No.10 dated 27.01.2012. The said post is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. It is an admitted fact that the petitioner and the other candidates comes under the reserved category. The contention of the petitioner is that the respondents 5 to 9, though belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) category, were appointed under the General Turn (GT) category. According to the petitioner, the candidates' age should have been below 30 years, which is the age limit for general category 3/6

candidates. However, the said contention cannot be accepted. Candidates belonging to the SC category are entitled to all the benefits granted to SC category, including age relaxation. Hence, the age limit applicable to SC candidates is 35 years. Even though the candidates were appointed in the GT General category, the age relaxation for SC candidates still applies, provided they are below 35 years of age. Therefore, the said contention of the petitioner is rejected. This Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 13.02.2025 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No jbr 4/6
