ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a mandamus directing the second respondent / Tahsildar to issue separate patta to him by cancelling the joint patta in Patta No.2260 for the land comprised in Old S.No.202/8 to an extent of 46 cents in Mallankinar Village, Kariapatti Taluk, Virudhunagar District, by considering his representations dated 06.02.2013, 09.11.2013 & 09.02.2015.
2.The case of the petitioner is that the third respondent's name has been wrongly noted in the records at the time of UDR survey. 3.Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that the authority to correct the entries made during UDR survey is the District Revenue Officer.

4.In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of, with liberty to the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the District Revenue Officer, Virudhunagar District, along with documents, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the District Revenue Officer shall take a decision, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the third respondent and other interested parties, if any, within a further period of six months thereafter.
