PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2023 and to translate the full text of the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification-2019 as accurate as practically possible in Tamil, at least 30 days prior to the commencement of District Level public hearing for the finalization of revised Coastal Zone Management Plan; for the enlightenment of most of the coastal people.

[Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.] Prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2023 and to translate the full text of the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification-2019 as accurate as practically possible in Tamil, at least 30 days prior to the commencement of District Level public hearing for the finalization of revised Coastal Zone Management Plan; for the enlightenment of most of the coastal people.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the relief sought for by the petitioner has been considered and the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification-2019 has been translated in Tamil. To that effect, he has also produced a translated copy of the Coastal Regulation Zone Notification-2019 before this Court.

3. In view of the above, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition and the same is, therefore, dismissed as infructuous. No costs. [D.K.K., J.] [R.V., J.] 03.01.2024 NCC :
