PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 11 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for willful disobedience of the orders passed by this Court dated 29.01.2016 in W.P.(MD)No.947 of 2012 and dated 12.10.2022 in Review Application in R.A.(MD)No.45 of 2016.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted the copy of the notice issued under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act (Tamil Nadu Act 31 of 1978). Since action has already been initiated to acquire the land for the allotment to the landless Scheduled Caste community people, no further adjudication is required and the respondent is directed to complete the acquisition proceedings and initiate steps to allot the same to the eligible Scheduled Caste community people. The compensation is directed to be settled as per the new Land Acquisition Act of the year 2013. 2.With the above observations, this Contempt Petition stands closed.
