ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a direction to the respondents to release the petitioner's vehicle, bearing registration No.PY-02-X3706, which was seized in connection with the Crime No.339/2025 for the offences under Sections 4(1)(A) and 4(1-A)(ii) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition (Amendment) Act, 2024.

2. Even according to the petitioner, the confiscation proceedings have been initiated by the respondents on 12.08.2025 and the petitioner has sent his reply on 14.08.2025.

3. While so, there cannot be any direction to the respondents to release the vehicle. However, it is open for the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy against either the confiscation proceedings or against the seizure. 2/4
