PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent No.1 to 4 to restore the drinking water connection to the petitioner's House at Door No.10/115, R.Vellodu, R.Vellodu Post, Vedachandur Taluk, Dindigul District within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to restore the water service connection to the petitioner's house in Door No.10/115, R.Vellodu, R.Vellodu Post, Vedachandur Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the 4th respondent herein, who was the Panchayat President at that point of time, due to personal enmity, had disconnected the water service connection given to the writ petitioner.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that no notice or enquiry was conducted prior to the disconnection of the water service connection.

4. In view of the above said facts, the respondents 2 to 4 are directed to restore the water service connection to the writ petitioner, if the same has not been restored already. In case, if the authorities find that there is any violation, they are entitled to initiate any action, after restoring the water service connection.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
