Prayer:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to rectify the incorrect and illegal subdivisions made in respect of the petitioner's joint patta land in Survey No.52/9B, situated in Narasingam 1st Bit revenue Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to respondents to rectify the incorrect subdivisions effected in respect of the property situated in Survey No.52/9B, Narasingam 1st Bit revenue Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.08.2025.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Guruprasath, learned counsel

appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. According to the petitioner, he is entitled to 6.5 cents of land in Survey No.52/9B under a settlement deed executed by his father, dated 20.06.2008. However, in the new subdivision effected by the respondents, the Survey No.52/9B has been subdivided into five new subdivisions and petitioner's name is reflected in respect of new Subdivision No.52/9B, with an extent of 5.16 cents, even though the petitioner is entitled to more extent. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 18.08.20055 before the respondents, seeking rectification of error in the subdivision. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered by the competent authority, namely, the

third respondent, within a time stipulated by this Court. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.08.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, neighbouring land owners and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
