This Criminal Original Petition had been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.I (Magisterial Level) Madurai to expedite and complete the trial in STC No. 394 of 2019 within the stipulated time.

2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner is the Complainant in a case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act 1/4

taken cognizance in STC No.394 of 2019 by the learned Judicial Magistrate,Fast Track Court No.I (Magisterial Level)Madurai.

3. The Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court No.I (Magisterial Level)Madurai is directed to proceed with the case if the accused is regularly appearing before the Court. If the accused is absconding and warrant pending he shall seek explanation from the jurisdiction Station House Officer. If the accused is produced on warrant the learned Judicial Magistrate is directed to cancel the bond and detain him in Prison so that the trial can be disposed within a reasonable period. The learned Judicial Magistrate is directed to follow the reported decision in 2015 (1) MLJ (Crl) 288 (SC) [Vinod Kumar -vs- State of Punjab] and dispose the case.
