This Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus, directing the second respondent to measure the petitioner's land bearing S.No.159/7, measuring 13.1/2 cents, Kodikulam I Bit, Y.Othakadai, Madurai within the time limit fixed by this Court.

2.Today(24.02.2023), when this Writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he has returned the papers and has also filed a memo to that effect. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has produced a written instruction, which he has received from the Village Administrative Officer, Madurai East that the land in S.No.159/7 to an extent of 0.02.0 Ares, 41, Kodikulam I Bit, Y.Othakadai, Madurai is in the name of one Jayaraj S/o Ramu, who is 2/5

the petitioner herein. During UDR survey, the land has been converted as Natham and assigned with new Survey Nos.235/23, 235/24, 235/25. The land S. No.235/24 to an extent of 0.0.63.0 sq.mts was classified as a pathway and the lands in S.No.235/23 & 235/25 are shown as vacant site. The land in S.No.235/25, to an extent of 0.01.07.0 Sq.mtrs stand in the name of the petitioner.

4.In view of the written instructions submitted by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is closed as no further order is required. However, a liberty is granted to the petitioner to file necessary application before the District Revenue Officer concerned, if he is so advised. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
