PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the respondents to provide necessary police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner based on his representation dated 09.09.2023 sent to the 1st and 2nd respondents herein.

O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide necessary police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner based on his representation dated 09.09.2023 sent to the respondents 1 and 2. 2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 and 2 has submitted that based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 09.09.2023, a case has been registered in Crime No.497 of 2023, dated 21.09.2023 for the offences under Sections 294(b) and 506(2) IPC and Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002 and investigation is in progress. 3.In view of the above submissions, since the respondent Police have already registered the case on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
However, in case if the petitioner feels any threat from the unofficial respondents, he is at liberty to approach the respondent Police seeking Police protection, on which, the respondent Police are directed to consider the same as quickly as possible. 22.09.
