PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of MANDAMUS directing the respondents 2nd respondent to restore patta in respect of the properties in S.Nos.356/11A, 356/11B, 356/1D, 356/1E and S.No.356/7B situated at Nadakottai Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District a total extent of the property measuring 6 acre 32 cents and restore the patta in the name of the petitioner's father before the UDR to its original position and considering the Petitioner's representation dated 01.07.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner asserts that he is in possession and enjoyment of the property in S.No.356/1 admeasuring 6 acres 32 cents. By stating that unlawfully subdivisions were effected and patta mutations were made in the name of Srini Devar, the petitioner had submitted a representation on 01.07.2025 to the respondents herein. The present writ petition has been filed for a direction in respect of such representation.

2.Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of all the respondents. He submits that the matter relates to an alleged UDR error and that the authority is vested with the second respondent in respect thereof. 3.Accordingly, without making any observations on the merits, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to conduct an inquiry on the petitioner's representation and to dispose of the same on merits within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order after providing a reasonable 2/4

opportunity to the petitioner, the current pattadar and any other persons with an interest in the relevant property. No costs.
