ORDER

The above writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 11.07.2024 and to cancel the patta standing in the name of 3rd parties in respect of survey number.72/1, Somanathamangalam Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District and to restore the patta for the said lands in the name of 8th respondent Temple.

2. When the matter had come up today, a communication addressed by the Sub Registrar, Kalayarkovil to the petitioner was produced by the petitioner wherein the petitioner's representation has been rejected.

3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

4. A reading of the above communication would indicate that the request of the petitioner has been rejected on the ground that there were no sufficient documents submitted by the petitioner to show that the

property belongs to the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department and further informed that the Sub Registrar shall act as per the Registration Act as well as the circular issued by the Registration Department.

5. In the light of the above, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
