ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Madhu, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, Mr.R.Vijayarajan, learned Senior Central Government Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the 1st Respondent and Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd Respondent. Therefore, no further notice is required to be issued to the Respondents.

This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 for the claim of Rs.95,000/- under the comprehensive health insurance scheme sponsored for the respondents by the name of AYUSHMAN BHARATHI PRADHAN MANTHIRI JAN AROCKIA YOJANA and AYUSHMAN VAY VANTHANA.

Mr.J.Madhu, learned counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the Petitioner has submitted representation dated 11.08.2025 in respect of his grievances and claim before the Respondents. The copy of the representation dated 11.08.2025 given to the Respondents is found at Page No.20 of the paper book. He further prays this Court that a positive direction may be given to the 1st Respondent to decide the representation of the Petitioner dated 11.08.2025 on merits and in accordance with law.

Mr.R.Vijayarajan, learned Senior Central Government Standing Counsel, for 1st Respondent and Mr.F.Deepak, learned Special Government Pleader for the 2nd Respondent, submit that since the Petitioner has submitted a representation on 11.08.2025 to the Respondents, this Court may issue a positive direction to the 1st Respondent to consider and decide the representation dated 11.08.2025, on merits and in accordance with law within a specified time frame fixed by this Court.

After hearing the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and without going into merits of the case, this Court directs the 1st Respondent to decide the Petitioner's representation dated 11.08.2025 and pass a reasoned and speaking order on merits, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. The Petitioner is directed to serve a certified copy of this order along with the representation dated 11.08.2025 before the 1st Respondent within a period of two weeks from today. The 1st Respondent shall communicate the decision taken by him to the Petitioner through Registered Post with Acknowledgement Due (RPAD) within a period of two weeks from the date of passing the order/decision.

With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
