ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kulithalai, to early disposal of CC.No.21 of 2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case is of the year 2020 and the same has been taken cognizance in the year 2023.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that in this case there are five accused and 9 witnesses and the case is posted on 08.01.2025 for cross-examination of L.W.1 to L.W.3. He further submitted that the respondent police had already taken steps and undertakes to ensure the presence of the witnesses on 08.01.2025 without fail. Further remaining there are 6 witnesses and the entire trial can be completed within three months.

4. Under such circumstances, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Kulithalai, to dispose the case pending in CC.No.21 of 2023, preferably, within a period of three months from 08.01.2025.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
