ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petition mentioned temple should be called as Arulmigu Sri Semanagar Vadiveller @ Subramania Swamy Temple. He relies on the extract of the register maintain under Section 25 of the Old Act.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader on the other hand points out that when OA was filed before the Deputy Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Thanjavur in this regard, the name of the temple was mentioned only as Sri Subramania Swamy Temple, Konnapattu.

4.The Writ Court will not be justified in going into this factual controversy at this point of time. Since the petitioner has given a representation for name change, the first respondent is directed to look into the same and pass a speaking order. The petitioner shall be heard in person. During such personal hearing, the petitioner can also place additional materials. If necessary, statement of witnesses can also be recorded in a summary enquiry. In any event, final order shall be passed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits of the matter. 5.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
