ORDER

The petitioner is a resident of Pudhuvayal Village. He alleges that there are encroachments in Survey Nos.228/1 and 228/3 of Karunavalkudi Village, Sakkottai Group, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. The learned Government Advocate on written given by Tahsildar, Karaikudi submitted that the said survey numbers have been classified as water channel.

2.We direct the second respondent to conduct survey. Notice shall be given to all the interested persons & encroachers before conducting survey. If the survey results indicate that there are 2/4

encroachments in the water body, the same shall be removed. All the encroachers shall not only be put on notice but also given due opportunity. All the encroachments shall be cleared within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.This writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
