PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.2 herein to conduct an enquiry and transfer the Electricity connection in No.342-032-153-1 from the name of the respondent No.5 to the name and favour of the petitioner, since the electricity connection No.342-032-153-1 stands in the patta land of the petitioner in Survey No.20/38A in Ward-A, Block-3, Manjalpattinam Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramnad District. This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the second respondent to conduct an enquiry to transfer the electricity service connection No.342-032-153-1 from the name of the fifth respondent to the petitioner's name that the property, where the service connection is existing belongs to him. 2/5

2.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Board submits that based on the petitioner's representation, enquiry was conducted on 18.03.2016 and since both the petitioner as well as the respondent claim right and title over the property, the authorities have passed an order to work out their remedy before the competent civil Court.

3.Since the representation of the petitioner was considered and orders have been passed, this writ petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
