ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent, dated 20.12.2021, thereby, rejecting the request made by the Petitioner seeking inter caste marriage certificate.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.The Petitioner belongs to Most Backward Class and he got married one Vasantha who belong to Brahmin community on 112.8.2000.Thereafter, she died on 22.2.2009. After a period of 21 years from the date of demise of his wife, the Petitioner had applied for inter caste marriage certificate before the second respondent. Though the Petitioner produced the documents to show that his wife belongs to Brahmin community, she died on 22.2.2009, no one is there to make statement to substantiate the 2/5

same.That apart, the Petitioner applied for inter caste marriage certificate after a period of 21 years from the date of his marriage.Therefore the request made by the Petitioner was rightly rejected by the second respondent and as such, the Writ Petition is devoid of merits and the same is liable to be dismissed. 4.Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There is no order as to costs.
