J U D G M E N T

[Judgment of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] This intra court appeal is directed against the order of the learned Single Judge, dated 25.07.2025, passed in W.P.(MD) No.665 of 2025.

2. Admittedly, Arulmigu Sree Pon Irulappa and Periakaruppasamy Temple, situated at K.Pudur, Watrap Union, Sriviliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, is a private temple and administered by few private individuals.

Disputes exist between the villagers for performing Kumbabishegam in the said temple. Such private disputes cannot be adjudicated in a writ proceedings nor writ against such private temples are maintainable under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The appellant has to resolve the dispute by approaching the competent civil court of law. Therefore, the Writ Court is right in dismissing the writ petition, which deserves no interference of this Court.

Accordingly, this writ appeal dismissed.

No costs.
