ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ of Mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to conduct elections for the Pullukurichi Tank Water Users Association Area, Distributory Committee and Project Committee under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Management of Irrigation Systems Election Rules, 2003 as well as all other Association declared under the Act. 2/5

2.It is needless to state that the Public Works Department authorities are bound to conduct elections as per the Government guidelines issued to protect the interests of the farmers.

3.The learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the elections have now been conducted for the Association and therefore, no further consideration is required. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed.
