This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to allow the petitioner's association to facilitate the art of Silambam in the upcoming State Level Chief Minister Trophy 2024 to be held in Chengalpattu, in line with the order in W.P.(MD).No.21796 of 2024 and based on the representation dated 19.09.2024, within a time frame as stipulated by this Court. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner association is a registered body and recognized by the Indian Silambam Federation and SDAT and permission was also given to the petitioner Association to conduct silambam event. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 19.09.2024 for permitting the petitioner to facilitate the State Level Silambam event. However, the said representation was not considered. Hence, the petitioner filed this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel for the second and third respondents submitted that though the petitioner association has been given with permission, now various persons, claiming to be the office bearers of the petitioner association, are coming before SDAT seeking permission to participate in the upcoming event. If the petitioner produces relevant documents before the respondents to substantiate that he had been officially elected as Secretary of the petitioner Association, they will have no issues for permitting the petitioner association to participate in the upcoming event. Further, it is the specific stand of the respondents that they are not preventing the petitioner's association from conducting silambam programme at State level. 4.Recording the above submission, the writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to produce the relevant documents before the respondents. On such production, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders. No costs.
