Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the first respondent in Letter No.18652/Peru.1/2013-3, dated 16.10.2014, quash the same and further direct the second respondent, Director of Town Panchayat to give promotion to the petitioner as Executive Officer (Selection Grade) on par with his Juniors with effect from 24.04.2015 with all attendant benefits including seniority and monetary benefits.

This Writ petition has been filed challenging the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 16.10.2014, whereby the request of the petitioner, for promotion was rejected.

W.P.(MD)No.3373/2016 2.Heard Mr.Isaac Mohanlal, learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. 3.In view of the subsequent development and dropping the charges levelled against the petitioner by proceedings of the second respondent, dated 11.10.2019, the petitioner is directed to send a fresh representation to the respondents seeking for appropriate promotion, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, taking into consideration of the proceedings issued by the second respondent, dated 11.10.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight (8) weeks, thereafter. 4.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
