Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No.3 to disburse the compensation amount by way of award to petitioner's bank account in the light of order passed in WP(MD).No. 29285 of 2022 dated 18.08.2023 for acquiring the land in Survey Nos. 607/2A, 642/2A, 595/1B, 598/3A, 585/5 and 585/6 in an extent of 0.29.00, 0.15.00, 0.20.00, 0.20.00, 0.38.0 and 0.38 Hectares respectively situated at S.Ramalingapuram Village, Samsikapuram Revenue Village, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District by considering his representation dated 06.08.2025.

O R D E R

By an order dated 18.08.2023 in W.P.(MD) No.29285 of 2022, this Court disposed of the said Writ Petition by directing the third respondent to deposit the compensation amount in the petitioner's bank account within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that 2/6

order. Since such compensation was not received, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has neither received a copy of the award nor compensation.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader submits that an inquiry was conducted yesterday i.e., 08.09.2025 and that the petitioner only submitted a copy of Adhaar card and bank passbook.

4. Learned counsel for the National Highways Department/fourth respondent submits that compensation can be remitted only subject to protection of the title documents by the petitioner.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all material documents are available with the petitioner and would be submitted on the next date of inquiry.

6. In view of the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed 3/6

of by directing the third respondent to disburse the compensation amount by remittance thereof into the bank account of the petitioner subject to the receipt of title and other documents from the petitioner. This exercise shall be completed within a maximum period of four weeks from today. In addition, third respondent is also directed to provide a copy of the award in the acquisition proceedings to the petitioner. No costs.
